Overview Accounting Manager - Web3 Practice at Attivo Partners. The role is a hands-on position responsible for accounting functions for multiple clients including full-cycle month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and on-chain/off-chain accounting, with involvement in financial statements, management reporting, cash management, and budgeting/forecasts.

Role Overview The Accounting Manager position is a hands-on role, responsible for accounting functions for multiple clients that include full-cycle month-end close, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and tax compliance. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the general on-chain and off-chain accounting for clients, assisting with the creation of financial statements and management reporting, managing the organization\'s cash, and assisting with the creation of departmental budgets and forecasts. Experience with developing and establishing policies and procedures within a corporation is highly preferred. The ideal candidate has worked at or with early-stage start-ups.

The position location is flexible / work from home, with preference given to candidates in New York City, Austin, and Boston. Candidates in other locations are welcome to apply. Some travel to in-person company events is required, approximately 2-3 weeks out of the year. In-person onboarding training will take place within the first 3 months of employment (locations vary).

Responsibilities

Produce monthly financial statements and budget vs actual analysis

Assist with financial modeling and forecasting for clients

Utilize on-chain accounting tools to streamline processes and improve data accuracy

Manage Accounts Receivable - invoicing, collections, reviewing contracts

Manage Accounts Payable - ensure accurate entry, timely payment, and policy compliance

Manage Token Accounting - token warrants and token compensation

Process employee onboarding, payroll, and terminations

Mentor and train future team members

Requirements

Solid understanding of GAAP, CPA or CFA preferred

Advanced+ Excel and ability to manipulate larger data sets; SQL a plus

Experience with crypto accounting software (e.g. Bitwave, Integral) and reconciliation of on-chain transactions

Experience with standard software solutions: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Netsuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, Carta

Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable with basic Web3 vocabulary

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Independent judgment and decision-making

Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities at a time

Professional curiosity & creativity for Web3 innovation and financial transformation

Desire to learn & for continuous improvement

Education & Experience

Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA or CFA is a plus

6+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role; multi-client experience highly preferred

2+ years of recent experience at a Web3 company or crypto native

Experience working in a fast-paced technology or professional services environment

Salary Range Attivo offers a competitive base plus bonus, and opportunities for advancement. The starting salary range for Accounting Manager is approximately $110,000 to $140,000 per year plus bonus.
