Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Job Summary: We’re hiring an Accounting Manager with strong property accounting experience and the ability to work independently. This role involves a blend of financial reporting, collaboration with property management on funding processes, and cash management tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of GAAP and a proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership. Key Responsibilities: Oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets (approximately 50% of the role) Coordinate with property management teams on funding processes and operational accounting (30%) Manage cash flow, perform reconciliations, and support forecasting efforts (20%) Prepare and review journal entries, internal financial reports, and account reconciliations Assist with annual audits and ensure timely responses to auditor inquiries Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting standards Identify and support process improvements and system enhancements Communicate effectively across departments and provide financial insights to leadership Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or CPA-track preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus in property or real estate accounting Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with audits and financial reporting Comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage) and Excel This position offers hybrid flexibility (ideally 1–2 days remote).
