Position Overview The AI/ML Security Engineer will own the strategy and implementation of security measures for advanced AI models and agentic systems. This is a hands-on role focused on preventing adversarial attacks, securing machine learning pipelines, ensuring data privacy, and maintaining the integrity and fairness of AI systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and AI research teams to embed security at every stage of the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design and implement defenses against adversarial ML attacks (model poisoning, evasion, data exfiltration). Ensure secure deployment and lifecycle management of AI models. Develop and maintain auditing, monitoring, and logging systems for AI decision-making and predictions. Implement bias detection, fairness monitoring, and ethical AI governance processes. Apply privacy-preserving techniques (data anonymization, encryption, secure enclaves) for sensitive datasets. Conduct adversarial security scanning and model vulnerability assessments. Collaborate with DevOps and AI engineering teams to harden pipelines, containerized environments, and deployment infrastructure. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development or security, including model protection, adversarial testing, and secure AI deployment. Strong knowledge of compliance and certification frameworks (ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27701, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA). Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow). Experience with Kubernetes, container security, and CI/CD pipeline hardening. Understanding of ethical AI principles, bias mitigation, and human-centered AI design. Preferred Skills Certifications in AI/ML or security (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, PyTorch Developer Certificate, CISSP). Experience in scaled startup environments or high-growth technology companies. Knowledge of behavioral analysis and cognitive science as applied to AI-human interaction.
