As an Assistant General Counsel at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will provide strategic legal advice and support on government contracting, compliance, and regulatory issues. Your expertise in government contracts, drafting and negotiation, teaming agreements, licensing, and compliance will be essential for success.
You will report to the Vice President and General Counsel, Defense & Space, working from Washington, DC, or Phoenix, AZ on a Hybrid schedule.
This role primarily supports Honeywell's Electronic Defense Systems (EDS) portfolio and includes managing legal and contractual issues for the EDS team, ensuring ethical, legal, and compliant operations to foster innovation and improve lives globally.
Required:
- 6+ years of legal practice experience
- Strong knowledge of government contracts law and regulations
- Expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts
- Experience managing legal risks and compliance
- U.S. Government Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
Valued:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- 8+ years of legal experience, in-house and law firm preferred
- Leadership and management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
