A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Encinitas, California. This role offers remote or hybrid flexibility, with the expectation of occasional in-person meetings. The successful candidate will handle a variety of litigation matters, including wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, and business disputes, from inception to resolution. Duties Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions. Manage discovery and interface with clients and opposing counsel. Argue motions in court and attend mediations. Participate in trials and manage cases independently. Collaborate with team members and receive mentorship from experienced partners. Requirements 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment. Experience in taking and defending depositions preferred. Exceptional communication and advocacy skills. Client-focused mindset with a passion for successful outcomes. Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the State Bar of California. Skills Strong legal research and drafting abilities. Effective communication and advocacy skills.
