If so, Nasdaq’s Legal, Regulatory & Risk group is looking for a smart, experienced, creative, and highly dedicated and energetic attorney with experience in securities and corporate law to support Nasdaq’s data business. Your role and responsibilities
This position will be a great opportunity for an attorney with a broad background in securities and corporate law (some litigation experience a plus) to work on an array of business and securities issues in a fast-changing regulatory environment. In coordination with senior legal team members, a typical day could include:
Advocating for New Rules and Regulations —Drafting and advocating for SEC filings, comment letters, and white papers.
Monitoring and Advising on Emerging Challenges —Providing legal advice on emerging challenges such as digital assets, artificial intelligence and other significant regulatory proposals impacting the data business.
Drafting Global Data Policies —Revising data policies for clarity and consistency across jurisdictions and in accord with new regulations.
Drafting and Negotiating Contracts —Negotiating unique contracts and managing global contracts
Advising the Compliance Team on Disputes —Advising on resolving disputes without litigation; litigation support as necessary
Protecting Nasdaq from Bad Actors —Monitoring parties infringing on Nasdaq intellectual property or disseminating Nasdaq Information without authorization
You will need the following skills and experience
Juris Doctor Degree;
At least 3-5 years’ experience in securities law and corporate law, preferably both (some litigation experience a plus) at a regulatory agency, in-house, or at a top law firm; and
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information.

The base pay range for this role is $134,400 - $224,100. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
