Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Partner Cybersecurity with a proven track record in leading cybersecurity initiatives within the distribution sector. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, helping organizations navigate the complex cybersecurity landscape through strategic risk management, threat mitigation, and robust defense capabilities.
Your role and responsibilities Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership (including non-IT C-suite) on cybersecurity strategy, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and deliver complex cybersecurity consulting engagements, particularly in the areas of Security Strategy Risk, Cyber Threat Management, and Cyber Defend domains.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive security solutions aligned with business objectives.
Manage and mentor security practitioners and project teams to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous capability development.
Drive transformation programs aimed at reshaping security organizations across multiple towers, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
Build strong client relationships, demonstrating subject matter expertise and delivering insights that address critical business challenges.
Travel up to 75% as required to support client engagements and business development activities.
Hybrid work arrangement: City, State location is assigned based on business need. The role may be performed from IBM locations, client sites, or remote work, with in-office requirements determined by management. This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Required technical and professional expertise At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting in a top tier professional services firm.
At least 10 years of experience working in projects related to Security Strategy Risk, Cyber Threat Management, or Cyber Defend domains.
Ability to demonstrate C-Suite advisory capabilities beyond IT.
Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions.
Experience working with Security practitioners.
Readiness to travel up to 75%.
Bachelors Degree
Preferred technical and professional experience At least 15 years of experience in management consulting and systems integration in a top tier professional services firm.
At least 15 years of experience working in projects related to Security Strategy Risk and Compliance.
In-depth experience in managing large-scale Information Risk Management programs.
Have led the transformation of security organizations across multiple towers in security.
Masters Degree
