Overview Automation Test Engineer - Automotive role at Capgemini. Location: Remote. Position: Embedded Software Engineer – Automation Test Engineer. Join our client’s innovative team as an Automation Test Engineer where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of cutting-edge autonomous software. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a dynamic team in a Scrum environment, driving excellence through rigorous testing and detailed analysis to identify and resolve software defects. Your role Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and design effective test plans and strategies. Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases and supporting documentation. Execute both manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing, working closely with project teams to implement solutions. Conduct user acceptance testing prior to software releases. Actively participate in Scrum meetings and provide regular quality updates. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall software quality. Perform testing in lab settings, on vehicles, and in real-world field environments. Your Skills And Experience 7+ years of experience in Software QA Testing or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. Proficiency with test case management tools such as JIRA or TestRail. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, TestComplete, or Postman. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Experience working in Agile software development environments. Willingness and enthusiasm to learn the Linux operating system and proprietary software installation and diagnostics.
