Overview Automotive Technical Advisor/Mechanic – MSX International MSX International is seeking an Automotive Technical Advisor/Mechanic to join our client programs. The role involves troubleshooting tough vehicle issues, providing technical support to dealerships, and helping complete repairs the first time. The position requires local travel to designated dealerships and collaboration with dealership technicians to solve complex cases. Responsibilities Assess and solve technical escalations; provide online and in-dealership technical assistance. Lead discussions and act as a subject matter expert. Manage recall requirements and ensure Required Service Updates (RSU) are completed; follow up to reduce buybacks. Interact with the team as the quality feedback liaison. Provide dealership consultations on repair order documentation, repair service agreements, and facility inspections. Improve the customer experience and increase “fixed first visit” cases. Analyze and suggest repair shop process improvements; offer proactive business planning focused on the customer experience. Qualifications 2 to 4 years of automotive experience required; current ASE certification preferred, but previously certified individuals will be considered. Dealership experience; field-related management experience preferred (e.g., Assistant Manager, Shop Foreman). Highly motivated, adaptive, and autonomous with the ability to deliver results. Ability to travel locally to dealerships within a designated area. Strong ability to analyze and document vehicle case updates using Microsoft Excel; ability to communicate technical information to all levels. Ability to analyze data and create custom reports using provided templates; proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and manage a progressive workload in a fast-paced environment. What We Have To Offer Full-time position with benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Hybrid work environment: 3 days field work with local travel and 2 days work from home per week on average with little to no weekend work. Monthly paid car allowance. Additional Information The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
