Position Overview: Carbon Markets Manager Frontier Infrastructure Holdings is seeking a results-driven Carbon Markets Manager to lead the commercial growth of our innovative carbon-by-rail initiative and to commercialize the New Frontier Markets platform. This client-facing role is crucial for securing forward offtakes of carbon for Project Sprint. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of carbon markets, carbon offtakes, and carbon purchasing activity across the globe. This individual will work across our organization to develop curated pitches, support due diligence, and identify commercialization opportunities for both CO2-by-rail as well as New Frontier Markets, a leading platform for engineered carbon removal project developers that has been incubated by Frontier. Hybrid applicants are invited to apply, with an ability to office in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York area offices. The ideal candidate is expected to travel to project sites and industry events. Frontier Infrastructure Holdings is a leading low-carbon infrastructure developer backed by Tailwater Capital and one of the most advanced CCUS platforms in North America. Frontier has received the first Class VI permits in Wyoming, drilled multiple Class VI wells, and spearheaded the development of the Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub, a 100k acre sequestration facility in SW Wyoming. Frontier is pioneering a new model for carbon management through Project Sprint to leverage its established rail infrastructure to expand geographic access to sequestration sites without the need for extensive pipeline systems. Captured CO₂ is liquefied and transported by specialized railcars to the Granger Carbon Terminal in southwestern Wyoming, the world’s first large-scale rail-to-sequestration offloading facility. Frontier also incubates New Frontier Markets, a marketplace that helps non-Frontier project developers commercialize their credits through sales and advisory. Key Responsibilities Lead business development efforts for CDR sales for our carbon-by-rail initiative Identify potential CDR buyers by tracking the market and identifying, engaging, and qualifying clients. Develop curated commercialization materials to support client engagement. Support due diligence processes from potential CDR buyers by coordinating across Frontier team and its service providers to collate, prepare, and present responses. Support CO2-by-rail project registration through the carbon project lifecycle including working with Frontier's partners, service providers, and registries. Lead business development effort for NFM platform commercialization Identify engineered carbon project developers looking for advisory, market navigation, and commercialization. Support NFM platform onboarding and advisory services to support NFM clients. Support the company at industry conferences, key client forums. Track the market across all public and private resources to inform adjustments to firm’s pitch and client engagement strategy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles in the carbon markets or related early stage startups. High quality oral and written communication to solicit attention from key decision makers at potential clients. Ability to handle client objections and questions related to carbon projects, lifecycle, and carbon market nuances. Basic to good understanding of carbon offtake contracts, clauses, and structures. Preferred candidates will have deep knowledge of the voluntary and compliance carbon markets, previous experience executing successful offtakes, and experience with carbon or commodity sales.
