Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Multifamily MEP, Inc. Location : Utah / Remote with regional travel | Full-Time | Equity + Competitive Compensation Package About Us Multifamily MEP, Inc. is a next-generation, full-service MEP platform engineered from the ground up to serve the unique needs of the multifamily development sector. We deliver a seamless, integrated stack of services—from in-house MEP engineering to construction execution and ongoing service—across mechanical, electrical (including low voltage), plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems. We're not just a subcontractor—we are a vertically integrated execution engine built for speed, precision, and scale, powered by advanced BIM, robotics, and workforce alignment. We plan to open 11 regional offices and build a $1B+ project pipeline within the next 5 years. The CFO will be instrumental in making this a reality by overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, capital structure, and profitability. Role Overview As CFO, you will be the financial strategist and steward of Multifamily MEP, Inc., overseeing all financial planning, analysis, controls, and capital strategy. You will work directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to build a scalable financial infrastructure that supports aggressive national expansion, ensures profitability, and maximizes shareholder value. Your scope will span financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, investor relations, accounting operations, risk management, capital structuring, and strategic financial leadership. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Lead company-wide financial planning and budgeting processes Develop and execute long-range financial strategies to support growth and capital efficiency Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and treasury operations Performance Management & Controls Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs to track margin, profitability, and project performance Oversee monthly financial close, reporting, and analysis Implement internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management procedures Capital Structure & Investor Relations Lead capital raising strategy, including equity, venture debt, and credit facilities Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial partners Oversee financial models, board materials, and investment reporting Construction Finance & Job Costing Establish and refine job costing systems tailored to trade contracting Partner with operations to monitor project budgets, billing, and cost-to-complete reporting Implement systems for tracking subcontractor payments, retainage, and WIP accounting Who You Are Required 10+ years of senior financial leadership, preferably in construction, real estate development, or private equity-backed companies Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, audit, and financial planning in multi-entity environments Track record of building financial infrastructure to support high-growth, multi-office operations Deep understanding of construction finance, project accounting, and capital management Preferred Experience raising equity or debt capital Familiarity with investor reporting and strategic finance in a founder-led organization Strong working knowledge of job costing, QuickBooks, Procore, or construction ERP systems Compensation & Ownership Competitive salary + profit share Employee equity participation Strong alignment with founders, anchor clients, and employee-owners Remote-flexible, with travel to regional offices and project sites Apply Today To apply, submit your resume and a short cover letter describing your experience leading financial operations and why you're excited to help scale a next-generation MEP firm.
