Our client, a respected and mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Baltimore area, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and optimize all financial functions in support of a mission that matters—addressing real-world challenges through education, outreach, and sustainable programming. Provide fiscal leadership to both nonprofit and for-profit ventures under the organization's umbrella. Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Board, ensuring financial strategy aligns with mission and growth plans. Oversee all accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance requirements. Lead a small but capable finance team and collaborate with department heads to ensure financial clarity and accountability. Manage and maintain relationships with banks, external auditors, and funding partners. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred. 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 8+ years in the nonprofit sector. Experience managing both nonprofit and for-profit operations is highly desirable.
