This right candidate will lead the Risk and Compliance functions across North America, ensuring effective execution of the Risk Management Framework in alignment with strategic objectives set by the Group CRO and regional leadership. Enhances the quality and integrity of decision-making by delivering independent, risk-informed challenge and clear, actionable reporting. Provides direct leadership to the North American Risk team, while maintaining matrixed oversight of the regional Compliance function Key Responsibilities Lead the execution and ongoing oversight of the Risk Management Framework across North American operations. Drive informed and effective decision-making by delivering comprehensive risk reporting, including regular updates and Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) submissions. Foster a strong risk culture by ensuring the business maintains a well-documented and resilient control environment. Critically evaluate proposed control environments against the organization’s defined risk appetite, offering guidance and actionable recommendations to business leaders. Collaborate with second-line risk professionals and business stakeholders to ensure timely identification and management of key and emerging risks. Oversee the assessment of climate-related financial risks, including regular updates to the board and relevant committees on implementation progress and long-term financial impacts. Qualifications Demonstrated success in senior-level risk management leadership roles. Extensive experience in regulatory engagement within the insurance sector. Deep understanding of the property and casualty insurance market. Strong commercial insight and sound financial acumen.
