Are you a distinguished researcher and inspiring leader with deep expertise in foundation models and their transformative potential in generative AI? Do you have the strategic vision to shape pioneering research and build a world-class team? We are seeking a Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) to lead these initiatives. In this leadership role, you will define the technical vision and strategic roadmap for our foundation model research, directly influencing the capabilities of our generative AI products. Your leadership will include: Developing and communicating a long-term scientific strategy, identifying research opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive advantages in generative AI. Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing team of research scientists and engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration. Overseeing research initiatives on large language models, multi-modal generation, controllable generation, alignment, and ethical AI to maintain industry leadership. Collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to translate research breakthroughs into scalable AI solutions. Representing the company at AI conferences, engaging with academia, and influencing the broader AI ecosystem. Managing research budgets, resources, and intellectual property strategies. Ideal candidate profile: PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field. Over 10 years in AI/ML R&D, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles. Expertise in large language models, multi-modal models, attention mechanisms, diffusion models, and distributed training. Proven ability to architect and guide complex AI systems. Successful track record in leading research organizations and delivering scientific breakthroughs. Outstanding publication record in top AI/ML conferences and journals, with a strong professional network. Preferred skills: Experience with MLOps and deploying AI models at scale. Proficiency in cloud-native AI infrastructure and distributed computing. Experience in establishing AI ethics and safety programs.
