Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Legal Consultant with a deep understanding of class actions, MDLs, and mass tort litigation to help us map the full lifecycle of these cases—from initial intake and filing to discovery, settlement, and administration. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who has worked at a plaintiff-side law firm and understands the practical workflows, pain points, and strategic decisions that shape large-scale litigation.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a subject-matter expert on the lifecycle of class action, MDL, and mass tort cases.
Consult with our internal team to map standard processes, decision points, and pain points in plaintiff-side litigation.
Identify opportunities to improve or automate key workflows, particularly in the discovery phase.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and legal teams to design and validate tools for law firms.
Review and provide feedback on legal technology prototypes or workflow automations.
Advise on regulatory, procedural, and jurisdictional issues related to mass litigation.
Qualifications J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
5+ years of experience in plaintiff-side litigation, with a focus on:
Class actions
Mass torts
Experience managing or supporting discovery in complex litigation (including ESI, custodians, document review workflows, etc.).
Familiarity with common tools (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Litify, etc.) is a plus.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in legal ops, consulting, or legal tech is a plus.
