The team works with technologies like Ubuntu, virtualization, private cloud, Kubernetes, MLops platforms, data platforms, and more. As we expand into new industries such as telco, finance, healthcare, and media, we develop new open source solutions to meet their needs. We believe Engineering Managers should be outstanding engineers, comfortable troubleshooting technical issues and engaging in technical presales. They should contribute technically but focus mainly on shaping team direction, focus, and delivery. We also train engineers interested in soft skills to become managers. Our mission is to make open source easier, reliable, and secure for deployment and development, aiming to provide 'most software to most companies'. We select engineers globally for brilliance and motivation, and our managers help teams achieve more than they thought possible, fostering pride in their work. The role of a Cloud Professional Services Manager at Canonical The Field Engineering team designs private and public cloud solutions tailored to customer workloads, deploying and testing technologies like OpenStack, MicroCloud, Ceph, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark, PostgreSQL, etc. Managers oversee team management, technical representation, collaboration, and participate in presales activities. Key responsibilities include line management, career development, representing the team technically, and collaborating with other teams and clients to meet goals. Location This role is home-based, managing a team within your time zone.
