Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect with a lot of experience and skill to design, implement, and manage cloud solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective while also meeting our business goals. The person who gets the job will be a strategic advisor who works with technical teams and stakeholders to promote cloud adoption, improve performance, and make sure that security is strong across all platforms. To lead cloud strategy and execution, this role needs both deep technical knowledge and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Create and put into action cloud-based solutions that meet both business and technical needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Set up long-term architecture frameworks, cloud adoption strategies, and migration roadmaps.
  • Working together: Work with teams from different areas, such as developers, DevOps engineers, and security teams, to ensure that cloud projects are on the same page.
  • Security and Compliance: Make sure that all cloud solutions follow security policies, compliance rules, and best practices in the industry.
  • Optimization: Keep an eye on and improve the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of cloud systems.
  • Migration and Integration: Oversee cloud migration projects to ensure they work well with current systems and cause as little disruption to business as possible.
  • Innovation: Keep up with new cloud technologies and suggest creative ways to improve the capabilities of the organization.
  • Documentation: Keep up with architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and rules for how to run things.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least three years in cloud architecture and seven or more years in IT architecture.
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, containers like Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Security and Governance: Knowledge of identity management, data encryption, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, communication, and stakeholder management.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay per hour: $75 to $110, which is $150,000 to $200,000 a year, depending on experience and certifications.
