Job Overview: A well-established East Coast-based law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate with 3–5 years of experience in investment management and private equity transactions. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative and growing Private Equity & Finance practice, working on sophisticated legal matters including private fund formation, investment adviser compliance, and transactional work for institutional investors and family offices. The role supports a hybrid work environment and is available in multiple office locations. Location: Washington, D.C. Duties: Draft and review sophisticated investment management and fund formation documents Advise investment managers on regulatory compliance and legal obligations Represent family offices and institutional investors in complex transactions Negotiate and document strategic joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity/venture capital financings Prepare and review: Investment management and sub-advisory agreements Limited liability company and limited partnership agreements Subscription agreements and side letters Handle general corporate matters and cross-disciplinary legal issues Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas and offices Requirements: 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in investment management and private fund formation Excellent technical legal knowledge and client service orientation Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team Effective problem-solving and time-management capabilities Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction of intended practice Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications: Admission to the bar in the applicable state/jurisdiction Skills: Advanced drafting and transactional skills In-depth knowledge of investment adviser regulatory issues Familiarity with private equity and venture capital structures Ability to manage complex deals and competing priorities Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation Capacity to advise clients on evolving legal frameworks and best practices Hybrid work flexibility (2 remote days per week) Mentorship from experienced attorneys and practice leaders Supportive, collaborative work culture Structured professional development and advancement opportunities Defined pathway to partnership (where applicable) Company info BCG Attorney Search 1629 K ST NW, Suite 300 Washington District of Columbia United States 20006 Phone : (202) 955-5585 Fax : (213) 895-7306
