Overview Cybersecurity Engineer Location: WNY, Washington, DC Job Status: Full-time Clearance: Secret Certification: [Specify certifications if applicable] Travel: As Needed About the Role Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer located at the Program Executive Office of Integrated Warfare Systems Contract in Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC . We have extensive experience supporting Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems Engineering Support Services (PEO IWS ESS) Cyber Contract, known for delivering high-quality cyber support tailored to client needs. Required Qualifications / Skills Bachelor's degree Active DoD SECRET Clearance Desired skills include cybersecurity, computer networking, basic proficiency with MS Office, and technical writing Responsibilities Provide Engineering Support Services (ESS) to NAVSEA PEO IWS Cyber Leads Work both remotely and on-site at the Washington Navy Yard Design and coordinate cybersecurity solutions for surface combat systems Develop security policies, standards, and procedures Act as liaison between the Program Office and stakeholders Manage cyber capabilities integration onto surface warfare combat systems Conduct technical assessments of cybersecurity evaluations and test reports Develop and present briefs on cybersecurity issues, system development, and risks to Navy Leadership Facilitate cyber working groups within the combat system Regularly provide updates and status reports to Navy Leadership and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
