About the Job
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist with expertise in Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models to join our growing consulting practice. You'll work alongside senior team members to deliver AI solutions for Fortune 500 clients across diverse industries, gaining exposure to cutting-edge applications and business challenges.

You're comfortable learning new techniques quickly, working collaboratively with senior team members, and communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences. While you may be earlier in your career, you demonstrate strong technical fundamentals and the potential to develop into a senior contributor.
Responsibilities
Support client engagements by developing NLP solutions under senior guidance
Implement and fine-tune language models for various business applications
Conduct data analysis and build predictive models using text data
Participate in client workshops and contribute to technical presentations
Develop automated text processing pipelines and content analysis systems
Collaborate with senior data scientists on algorithm development and optimization
Document methodologies and create reusable code frameworks
Assist in scoping and planning NLP projects across retail, finance, healthcare, and media sectors
Support quality assurance and testing of deployed models
Stay current with latest NLP research and emerging techniques
Technical Environment
Languages: Python (primary), R, SQL
ML Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers
Infrastructure: Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Tools: MLflow, Git, Jupyter, Apache Airflow, Vector databases
Required
Qualifications
MA/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Linguistics, or related quantitative field
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or related roles
Solid NLP foundation: Understanding of text preprocessing, feature extraction, and basic NLP techniques
Language Model experience: Some hands-on experience with pre-trained models and basic fine-tuning
Programming skills: Proficient in Python with experience in pandas, scikit-learn, and at least one deep learning framework
Statistical knowledge: Understanding of statistical methods and experimental design
Experience with foundation models (GPT, BERT, etc.) through coursework or projects
Basic knowledge of MLOps concepts and version control
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
Experience with client-facing or consulting work
Academic or professional projects involving text analysis or NLP
Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment practices
Knowledge of specialized domains (finance, healthcare, legal, etc.)
Open-source contributions or personal NLP projects

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $135k-$205k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
