Constant Contact seeks a visionary and creative external communications leader to redefine how the world sees, feels, and connects with Constant Contact. This is a transformational role for a communications leader who will shape how millions of entrepreneurs worldwide connect, grow, and thrive.
You'll be the strategic force behind our most ambitious communications initiatives—driving breakthrough earned media campaigns, establishing our executives as the definitive voices in digital marketing, and orchestrating global communications strategies that fuel business growth and industry leadership. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, you’ll work directly with our CEO, CMO, and executive leaders to shape a brand that’s as bold and innovative as the customers we serve.
Responsibilities Architect Brand Dominance Through Earned Media Pioneer innovative PR strategies that elevate Constant Contact’s visibility and market leadership across global markets
Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director and Head of Brand to develop and refine comprehensive brand strategy and narrative positioning
Cultivate powerful media ecosystems with tier-1 journalists, industry tastemakers, and influential voices who shape the small business landscape
Generate game-changing earned media coverage that drives measurable business impact and positions us as a leader in small business empowerment
Craft story frameworks that transform how the world understands small business potential and digital marketing innovation
Build Iconic Thought Leadership Collaborate with internal communications to create a unified executive presence that drives industry conversations
Transform our leaders into sought-after voices who define the future of small business success and digital marketing evolution
Design and execute thought leadership campaigns that establish Constant Contact executives as go-to authorities for media, conferences, and industry forums
Shape the global dialogue around entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and small business resilience
Drive Data-Powered Storytelling Partner with our market insights center of excellence to transform proprietary research into compelling narratives that capture global attention
Create breakthrough marketing strategies for data releases that generate widespread media coverage and establish Constant Contact as the research authority
Orchestrate timed, multi-channel campaigns that maximize the impact of every data story and research initiative
Turn insights into influence, positioning our research as the definitive resource for understanding small business trends
Lead Global Communications Excellence Spearhead communications strategy across all international markets, ensuring cohesive brand presence while driving local market relevance
Build and guide regional teams and agency partnerships that deliver results across diverse markets
Create scalable global frameworks that amplify our message while respecting cultural nuances and market dynamics
Drive measurable PR performance that demonstrates ROI and business impact across every market we serve
Master Crisis Leadership & Reputation Excellence Develop crisis communication strategies that protect and enhance brand reputation during challenging moments

Who you are Visionary Experience 8+ years of progressive communications leadership in consumer technology or small business-focused environments and/or top PR agency experience
4+ years directing complex, multi-market communications programs with transformational results
Proven track record of breakthrough media coverage in premier business and technology publications
Demonstrated expertise in executive positioning and internal/external communications alignment
Strategic Excellence Master of data-driven storytelling with experience transforming research into compelling media narratives
Global communications expertise with multi-market campaign leadership
Crisis communications mastery with ability to navigate reputation challenges
Exceptional project management with meticulous attention to detail
Leadership DNA Natural cross-functional collaborator who builds consensus and drives results
Strategic thinker who translates business visions into executable communications strategies
Detail-oriented with high standards and scalable impact
Cultural intelligence and global perspective on international markets
Preferred Game-Changers Degree in communications, business, or related field
Deep expertise in marketing technology, small business services, or entrepreneurship ecosystems
Proven track record of award-winning campaigns; examples or portfolio may be requested
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, education and work location. Some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
