Kraft-Heinz is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and visionary Director of Human Insights to create and lead our Human Insights function. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for driving human-centric strategies that enhance our competitive position and fuel category growth across channels. You will leverage advanced human behavior research, data analytics, and market intelligence to influence business decisions, shape product innovation, and provide a voice to the industry.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of human behavior, experience in managing large-scale insights programs, and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies. As the Director of Human Insights, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including Business units, Sales, Product Development, Category Leadership, and Consumer Insights while collaborating with retailers and external research partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Direction: Lead the Human Insights function, setting the vision, strategy, and execution plans to influence business decisions across marketing, sales, and product development teams.
Human Behavior Insights: Drive the development and execution of research programs to better understand human behavior, purchase motivations, and decision-making drivers across key categories, sales channels (grocery, e-commerce, foodservice, etc.), and specific retailers.
Data-Driven Strategy Development: Utilize data analytics, syndicated data, and proprietary research (e.g., panels, loyalty programs, in-store/shopper behavior data) to provide actionable insights that inform Kraft-Heinz marketing, sales, and product innovation strategies (product assortment, pricing, promotional strategies, in-store experiences, and omni-channel retail strategies).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders in Business units, Sales, Category Leadership, and Innovation teams to ensure that insights are incorporated into product development, go-to-market strategies, and promotional planning.
Consumer-Centric Innovation: Provide human-driven insights to influence product innovation, packaging, pricing strategies, and consumer communications. Champion a consumer-led, customer-back mindset within the organization.
Market & Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of shopper and market trends, identifying shifts in behavior and emerging opportunities within the food and beverage categories. Deliver insights on competitive landscape and category dynamics.
Team Leadership & Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
Stakeholder Communication: Develop and present insights-driven recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders, delivering compelling, actionable stories that drive business impact.
Vendor & Agency Management: Oversee relationships with external research agencies and vendors, managing large-scale insights projects and ensuring the quality and relevance of research efforts.
Shopper Segmentation & Targeting: Develop and refine shopper segmentation models to identify key target segments, guiding marketing and promotional activities that resonate with specific shopper groups.
KPI Tracking & Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of shopper insights and the impact of strategies on sales, brand health, and consumer loyalty.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in shopper insights, market research, or analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in consumer goods, food & beverage, or CPG sectors is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of the grocery and/or poultry industries.
Leadership & Team Management: Proven history of leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to inspire and lead through change, driving results while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in data analysis, statistical tools, and consumer insights platforms (e.g., Numerator, syndicated data, InVision, Placer.ai, Alteryx, Power BI, Qualtrics). Strong ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Strategic & Business Acumen: Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to connect shopper insights to broader business goals and deliver results that drive growth.
Communication & Influencing Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and influence key stakeholders across the organization and customers.
Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with experience leading large-scale research initiatives and managing cross-functional teams to execute insights-driven strategies.
Consumer-Centric Approach: Deep understanding of consumer and shopper behavior, with a passion for translating insights into business-building strategies that resonate with today’s evolving shopper.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$184,800.00 - $231,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): In addition to base salary and bonus, this role is eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity.
