CAREERS THAT CHANGE LIVES As the Director of IT, Hyperautomation, & Horizontal Initiatives, you will lead the organization's hyperautomation strategy and initiatives, leveraging your expertise in advanced technologies, including AI, ML, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and BPM (Business Process Management) to automate complex business processes and drive operational efficiency. Additionally, you will lead other relevant horizontal initiatives on data and innovation, ensuring a cohesive approach to technological advancements across the organization. As the Director of IT, Hyperautomation, & Horizontal Initiatives , you will also act as an evangelist and ambassador for the IT function related to hyperautomation, promoting its value and benefits to stakeholders. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.

DAY IN THE LIFE As the Director IT, Hyperautomation & Horizontal Initiatives, you will : Develop and execute the hyperautomation strategy aligned with business goals.
Lead the hyperautomation team in designing, developing, deploying, and ensuring the value realization of solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and use cases.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of automation projects, from ideation to deployment.
Ensure the scalability and performance of automation solutions in production.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in hyperautomation.
Manage the hyperautomation budget and resources effectively.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the hyperautomation team.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Lead and support other relevant horizontal initiatives on data and innovation, driving a cohesive approach to technological advancements.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
Serve as an evangelist and ambassador for the IT function related to hyperautomation, promoting its value and benefits to stakeholders.
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant manufacturing automation experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing experience with 7+ years of managerial experience.
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications) Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Practical and actionable experience in the manufacturing or supply chain space, with a strong background in AI technologies, machine learning, and hyperautomation.
Proven experience in leading manufacturing automation projects and teams.
Mastery of automation technologies such as RPA, BPM, AI, and ML.
Experience with automation tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, etc.
Understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations in automation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

This role will also have responsibility for enterprise-wide improvement in data maturity across domains. Design and implement data strategy enabling business objectives and priorities.
Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and best practices across the organization & drive the Medtronic Data & AnalyticsCouncil & Domain Leadership Network.
Be a trusted advisor to the executive team, shaping and guiding strategic priorities.
Introduce and continually improve data governance standards and processes.
Define and execute the Data Governance Strategy, ensuring data quality and governance and driving innovation.
Build the roadmap to achieve the Enterprise Data Strategy, enhance efficiency, improve data quality and drive competitive advantage. Partner cross-functionally to ensure all strategic data initiatives are captured within the strategic plan & roadmap. Develop & estimate funding needs & sources for strategic initiatives.
Be a trusted partner with Operating Units, Functions, Regions, Analytics, Legal, Privacy, Security and IT ensuring that policies, processes and standards are defined and adhered to end-to-end.
Drive prioritization across the project release schedules to enable business transformation priorities while enhancing data quality and enablingefficient operations.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align data initiatives with business objectives, ensuring that data supports and accelerates strategic goals.
Foster collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams, including IT, analytics and executives.
Lead, manage and develop a team of data strategy, culture, data governance & program/project professionals to ensure the effective implementation of data initiatives.
Define and implement continuous improvements to data strategic planning, culture, portfolio management and data governance to increase value delivery, strategic alignment, on time, budget & quality implementations and competitive advantage with data.
Define and enable an enterprise-wide data governance framework for consistent data policies and practices.
Advocate for data quality and best practices, ensuring adherence to data protection and privacy regulations.
Work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance on data governance and compliance matters.
Serve as a key liaison between different business functions and IT teams to ensure alignment and integration of data governance practices.
Stay current with data standards and best practices related to data governance, data quality, data marketplace, and the ability to collaborate across all the data disciplines.
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A)
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$176,800.00 - $265,200.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
