Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Director of Client Services for our client, a global team of cloud experts specializing in helping organizations optimize their cloud experiences. This full-time, remote role, requiring periodic client meetings, is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and available for immediate hire.
Under the direction of leadership and in alignment with client success goals, the Director of Client Services Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring delivery excellence, strengthening partnerships, and driving sustainable growth. This position will oversee end-to-end delivery, directly managing outcomes, navigating challenges, and expanding client relationships through trust and execution. As a collaborative, results-oriented leader, the Client Services Lead will represent the company with accountability and integrity, ensuring projects deliver measurable impact while advancing long-term client success.
Responsibilities Lead delivery for complex, enterprise consulting engagements from kickoff through execution and long-term account growth.
Serve as the primary client partner, building trusted relationships with VP- and C-level stakeholders.
Proactively remove roadblocks, manage risks, and ensure delivery stays on track with agreed outcomes.
Safeguard $15–20M in existing revenue by driving strong client retention and long-term partnership success.
Develop and implement account strategies and growth plans that align client objectives and company priorities.
Drive account expansion through excellence in delivery, identifying opportunities, nurturing relationships, and securing follow-on work.
Navigate client organizations to build new connections and uncover areas for partnership growth.
Coach and support delivery teams, fostering alignment, capability-building, and long-term success.
Oversee account operations, including contracts (SOWs), forecasting, procurement, invoicing, and staffing.
Bridge the gap between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders, translating strategy into measurable outcomes.
Qualifications 10 to 15 years of experience in consulting or professional services, with a track record of leading delivery in complex enterprise environments.
Proven success owning the outcomes of large-scale, multi-faceted programs, including navigating challenges when plans shift.
Demonstrated ability to grow accounts through delivery excellence, not pre-sales.
Thrives in fast-paced, lean environments, adaptable to wearing multiple hats and solving problems with agility.
Credible and effective in engaging both executive stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and shared outcomes.
Skilled at managing account financials, delivery teams, and internal operations, with the ability to set boundaries while maintaining strong relationships.
A hands-on leader who rolls up their sleeves and leads by example.
Preferred Experience Cloud consulting expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Background in enterprise transformation or digital delivery.
Exposure to FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
Experience working in a high-growth or boutique consulting firm.
Compensation & Benefits This is a dynamic, full-time leadership opportunity offering a competitive base salary of $250,000–$300,000 DOE, along with a 5% revenue incentive tied to the business you generate.
