The position reports to the Senior Director of Engineering.He or she is accountable for the development, resourcing, implementation, and continuous improvement of the territory’s project engineering team. A thorough, demonstrable understanding of the construction process, systems integration, IT engineering as well as architectural and construction drawings and specifications is required.In addition, accountable for ensuring the project engineering team is aligned with the needs of our clients by partnering with sales and PMO.He or she will be accountable to ensure resources are shared across the business unit and the company.This role will work closely with the PMO leaders, Project Ops Leaders, and Sales Enablement leaders in territory as a delivery team. The role is accountable for motivating, mentoring, ability to demonstrate being a student of the business, communicating and navigating.NOTE: While this position is virtual day to day, it requires periodic travel to project sites within our US-Northwest region. Residing in – or willing to relocate to – the US-Northwest region is required.What You’ll Do:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:A clear understanding of project phases: requirements gathering, conceptual designs, detailed designs, fabrication, testing, commissioning, training, and support – and leading a team through the lifecycle.Point of escalation for project engineering. Leading a team through projects that do not meet expectations. Motivating and directing the team to achieve the clients’ goals in an expedited manner.Collaboration with sales and Media/WKP BU leadership, accountable to ensure engineering has the skills required to fulfill projects and delight customers.Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training resources to meet the needs of our client’s projects.Empower engineering associates to take ownership and accountability of client interactions and deliverables.Contributing to the design of engineering standards and processes. Implementing these standards and processes in collaboration with the engineering teams and PMO, guaranteeing client satisfaction and profitable projects.Govern standards through project audits to ensure adherence by the team and consistency in work product.Drive efficiency in project engineering, including innovation and technology. Developing standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent.Lead, inspire, and mentor associates. Lead teams designing and deploying $10M+ technology projects, with excellence.Visiting clients and client sites, developing relationships with key clients as well as gleaning information about enhancing project fulfillment.Ensure career pathing and associated training opportunities are available for our associates.Break down silos, build bridges amongst divergent groups, driving an inclusive one company mindset.Facilitate resource sharing across territories and business units and specialties. Ensure associates are cross trained in all necessary business systems and tools to facilitate execution.Responsible for resource assignments and load balancing to cover projects and enhance the skills of our team. Collaboration with resource planning / PMO to meet deadlines and limit pulling resources on and off projects.Drives risk assessment analysis, holding leaders and managers accountable to following defined processes.Directly manages regional project engineering team. Directly responsible for the engineering quality and profitability of the portfolio of projects associated with their region. This includes engineering solutions and design documentation plus configuration, commissioning, and training.As part of the Media/WKP engineering leadership team, align with BU Innovation and Sales Engineering on products, solutions, and services. Seek and provide feedback on a regular cadenceTrack performance of teams to drive utilization, efficiency, quality, savings and added profit. Support project managers in value engineering and scope change orders.Translate company mission and vision into engineering deliverables.Coordinate weekly in person and virtual meetings, workshops and team building events including manufacturers and vendors.COMPLEXITY:Directly manages individual contributors.
