Base pay range $220,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr Location: Remote Salary: $220-240k DOE Position Overview: The Director of Engineering will lead the engineering team in designing and implementing innovative solutions that align with the company's strategic goals. This role is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring that best practices are followed while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting professional growth and development. Define and execute the engineering strategy to meet business objectives and technical requirements. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable platform solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between engineering and other departments. Implement and manage DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Manage infrastructure and architecture design to support business needs and data management. Drive the adoption of new technologies including containerization and cloud services (AWS). Establish and maintain IT service management principles to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee data engineering efforts, including the implementation of data lakes and data management strategies. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in engineering roles with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Strong expertise in platform engineering, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices. Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and best practices in software development. Deep knowledge of architecture principles and data engineering solutions. Familiarity with data lakes and data management frameworks. Experience with compliance standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
