Overview Director of Workforce Safety & Resilience – Latham & Watkins. This role is part of Technology & Information Services and is located in Washington, DC. The position may offer a hybrid/in-office schedule.
Base pay range $270,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive strategies to ensure the safety and security of the firms personnel, including responding to security emergencies.
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive workforce safety strategy addressing risks to colleagues globally, including physical and social media incidents.
Lead the Operational Resilience & Physical Security team; manage physical security, travel security, and workplace safety program, including:
Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery & Crisis Response
Security aspects of workplace design
Management of the firm’s access control system including locks, cameras, panic buttons, and other workplace security systems
Maintain relationships with third-party security vendors and law enforcement to protect personnel
Act as a leader during crises and security emergencies; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and brief leadership
Collaborate with external security vendors and law enforcement to enhance security capabilities
Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information
Qualifications Extensive experience in executive protection; background in law enforcement or military service preferred
Significant expertise in workplace safety, including integrating security into workplace design and implementing security controls (e.g., doors, cameras, panic buttons)
Strong knowledge of security techniques and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ progressive leadership responsibilities in Federal law enforcement (e.g., FBI)
