Overview Director, Privacy and Security Compliance Assurance at Google. This role may be located in Playa Vista, CA, or other location options as noted by the recruiter. The role is part of the newly formed Risk, Compliance, and Integrity organization (RCI), focusing on privacy and security controls, and leading a global team of professionals responsible for risk assessments and related assurance activities. Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent practical experience. 15 years of experience in legal, risk, compliance or audit. 5 years of experience in Audit or Compliance leadership roles in the industry. Preferred qualifications One or more relevant professional certifications (CIA, CISA, CMA, CA/CPA, etc.). Experience with compliance assurance in large, tech-driven organizations, performing risk assessments, and identifying controls across all business areas. Experience leading and transforming a global organization. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance testing methodologies, and risk management principles, with experience engaging with regulators. Ability to motivate, develop, and manage multidisciplinary teams. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, including ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their impact on business operations. Responsibilities Monitor and test controls and processes; advise on remediation activities. Report on control/process documentation, efficacy, performance, and metrics. Conduct analysis to identify trends and anomalies, and develop associated programs. Develop playbooks and KPIs to ensure assurance process excellence and efficient use of vendor resources. Partner with stakeholders on process automation, optimization, tooling, and automation in support of core assurance processes. The Risk, Compliance, and Integrity organization (RCI) combines critical compliance, assurance, risk, and governance functions to support compliant innovation. The role focuses on overseeing privacy and security risk controls, leading a global team, and transforming reporting programs to be more data-driven, risk-calibrated, and tech-enabled. The position will partner with RCI Policy teams to advise on control enhancements and future design. Salary and location The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$356,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location; individual pay within the range is based on location and other factors. Compensation details shown reflect the base salary only.
