This role leads the Global Sales Compensation Operations team within a SaaS-based environment, focusing on scaling processes, ensuring SOX compliance, and collaborating across Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, Accounting and Revenue Operations.
What you'll do As Director, Sales Compensation Administration, you will drive day-to-day functions of the company’s sales compensation administration and oversee accrual and commissions processes. You will develop related sales compensation processes, govern policies, and participate in the annual Sales Compensation Design & Planning. You will work cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation of plans and compliance.
Responsibilities
Manage the Global Sales Compensation team and drive the monthly end-to-end process from setup, accruals, and commissions payroll to meet deadlines
Partner with Plan Design to design and operationalize Sales Compensation Plans
Own governance of Sales Compensation Terms & Conditions and Global Sales Ops Policies (GSOPs)
Collaborate with Systems and Planning to configure, conduct UAT, and smoke test new plans
Provide guidance and support to Sales Leadership related to Sales Compensation
Administer a monthly accrual and commission audit process
Partner with Systems and Planning to implement and rollout new programs, gathering requirements to automate calculations
Develop and scale business processes to support growth while maintaining internal controls for SOx compliance
Mentor and coach the Global Sales Compensation team on industry standards and career development
Manage the monthly/quarterly close calendar
Build trust and relationships with cross-functional teams
Designation Hybrid: Employee divides time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be a weekly in-office expectation)
Positions are assigned a designation of In Office, Hybrid, or Remote and may change based on business needs and local law.
What you bring Basic
12+ years of experience in sales compensation and knowledge of incentive systems
5+ years of people management experience
BA/BS in Finance, Business or related field
Preferred
Experience in sales compensation in a professional, fast-paced environment (tech)
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Proven track record of gained efficiencies
Understanding of global business complexity
Xactly or other sales performance management software experience
Proficient in MS Office Suite and Gmail
Excellent organization, documentation, communication, and presentation skills
Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the following pay ranges are provided for certain locations:
California: $177,900.00 - $287,425.00 base salary
Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $170,900.00 - $241,400.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $170,900.00 - $251,325.00 base salary
