Director, SLED Sales

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced State / Local government and Higher Education (SLED) leader to join our sales team. This role is critical to driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities within State & Local government agencies and Universities. As a Sales leader, you will be a player/coach and own the SLED sales programs and over time will build out a team. You will leverage your knowledge of the SLED procurement process and your extensive network to build relationships, present solutions, and achieve sales targets.
Required Skills
Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within assigned SLED Prepare comprehensive account and territory plans Lead client presentations and run effective meetings Clearly articulating the value proposition of solutions and products and the endless possibilities of the digital enterprise to your customers Collaboration across all internal teams and resources to ensure you bring the best solution to your customers & prospects When appropriate, work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities Educate and guide prospects through the buying process Manage all aspects of the SLED sales in your territory including prospecting, activity tracking, opportunity management, forecasting revenue, contract management, and closing deals Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within federal agencies Navigate the SLED procurement processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and contracts, to secure new business Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs Maintain an up-to-date pipeline and accurately forecast sales performance using CRM tools Stay informed on SLED policies, budgets, and technology trends to position our SaaS solutions effectively Write and present quarterly business reviews to Sales Management, Senior Management, and peers Adhere to the Company defined sales process and methodology Other duties as assigned
Education
Have a bachelor's degree 8+ years of SaaS experience selling to and/or directly supporting SLED markets Successful working independently and in a collaborative team Excited about managing multiple simultaneous priorities in a fast-paced environment Independently accountable for commitments and delivering the best performance by intelligent prioritization Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral Knowledge of publicly available information and social media utilization efforts of public sector organizations, including but not limited to Federal, State, Local, Special Districts Passionate about supporting the public sector mission Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic workenvironment Attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies andflaws Proficient with MS product suite, Salesforce CRM, Leadership Connect, Salesloft
