Key Responsibilities - Core
Lead all aspects of safety culture, demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small or major projects.
Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
Coordinate project site care, custody, and control.
Lead meetings, including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
Participate in project progress and OAC meetings.
Create and adjust project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Track and monitor project budget and costs using management systems.
Communicate key project information to stakeholders.
Maintain project documentation, update drawings, logs, and inspection notebooks.
Approve and record unit costs, complete reports, and evaluate progress.
Manage material and equipment needs.
Support procurement processes and assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment.
Manage timecard approvals and ensure accurate reporting.
Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC, and external resources.
Supervise project closeouts, including pre-punch activities.
Participate in project pursuit, planning, and change negotiations.
Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.
Additional Responsibilities - Superintendent 2
Manage complex projects from start to finish, overseeing scheduling, safety, and quality.
Identify and manage project risks.
Coordinate deliverables from internal resources.
Participate in project pursuits and negotiations.
Skills & Abilities
Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, scheduling software, and construction technology.
Knowledge of construction management, trades, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability, and build client relationships.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5+ years construction experience, with 3+ years in field supervision.
Experience with Lean principles is a plus.
Working Environment & Benefits
Valid driver’s license required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel and/or relocation may be required.
Work may involve extreme conditions and non-traditional hours.
