Overview Our customer recently won a federal contract to provide Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) for the U.S. Mint, awarded by the Department of the Treasury. US Mint HQ is located near Gallery Pl-Chinatown (DC Metro). The award details include a potential end date of January 31, 2030. The scope includes ITSM, operations center support, and project management services, with a focus on supplemental CTO/EA support.
Responsibilities
EA enhancement: redefine and document the customer’s EA practices and repository using current Strategic Plan, OMB guidance, FEA Reference Models, and industry best practices.
EA Repository Maturity: enhance, maintain, and update the EA repository in alignment with OMB guidance, Treasury standards, and IT policies.
Framework Development: refine the customer’s EA Framework, including policies, glossary, models, and business rules.
Architecture Modeling and Diagrams: create and maintain enterprise models, diagrams, and canvases (baseline/target states, capability maps, system interaction models) to support analysis, governance, and decision-making.
Standards and Governance Support: support the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and governance processes, including preparation and evaluation of review materials, meeting documentation, and recommendations for EA standards compliance.
Knowledge Transfer: mentor government staff, provide documentation and on-the-job knowledge transfer to improve internal EA capabilities.
Focus on core architecture modeling, repository management, and governance support to advance architecture maturity.
Job Description & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related disciplines.
Minimum four (4) years of experience with EA modeling tools and repository platforms, including at least two years of Enterprise Architecture experience on similarly complex projects.
Proficiency in importing/exporting/managing EA data modeling tools (e.g., Sparx, ER/Studio, Erwin Data Modeler), other enterprise tools, SharePoint, and common desktop tools.
Experience with information repository development and management.
Understanding of enterprise-level business functions, processes, and solutions in the manufacturing industry.
Experience producing architecture models, diagrams, and visualizations linked to data repositories.
Ability to support ARB reviews with artifacts that comply with EA standards.
Experience with business modeling techniques and impact analysis to help organizations understand and manage their enterprise architecture, analyze business processes, and propose solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with business and IT stakeholders; knowledge of OMB and Treasury EA guidance.
Skills & Certifications
Enterprise architecture, framework development, repository management, governance processes, architecture modeling and diagrams, federal and manufacturing industry experience.

What We Offer
Pay range: $67.00 - $75.00/hr (eligibility for certain benefits applies).
Hybrid position in Washington, DC.
