US Mint HQ location is walking distance from DC Metro (subway) stop Gallery Pl-Chinatown. Key Details Of The Award Awarding Agency: Department of the Treasury Funding Office: U.S. Mint Headquarters Contract Type: Definitive Contract Potential End Date: January 31, 2030 Scope ITSM, operations center support, and project management services: The Contractor shall provide supplemental CTO/EA support services with a focus on: Application migration to the Cloud (Microsoft Azure required) - US Mint has about 60 legacy applications. They are interested in moving 78-80% of the non-manufacturing applications to the cloud. The majority of enterprise-level applications are moving to the cloud, while some manufacturing and specialized applications will remain on-premises, running on Nutanix hypervisor. IT Service Management (ITSM): Streamlining and modernizing how IT services are delivered and supported. Operations Center Support: Enhancing infrastructure monitoring, incident response, and system uptime. Project & Program Management: Driving strategic initiatives, managing delivery, and aligning IT with business goals. More Specifically EA Enhancement: Redefine and document the customer (a US Federal Government agency)’s EA practices and repository using the most current Strategic Plan, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance, Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Reference Models, and industry best practices. Experience in cloud migration would be a valuable asset, as the organization is currently in the process of migrating to the cloud, and the candidate would need to understand the factors involved, such as retiring, refactoring, or lift-and-shift approaches for different applications. Additional Responsibilities EA Repository Maturity: Enhance, maintain, and update the EA Repository, ensuring alignment with OMB guidance, Treasury standards, and IT policies. Framework Development: Support the refinement of the customer’s EA Framework, including documentation of policies, glossary, models, and business rules. Architecture Modeling and Diagrams: Create and maintain enterprise-level models, diagrams, and canvases (e.g., baseline and target states, capability maps, system interaction models) to support analysis, governance, and decision-making. Standards and Governance Support: Provide support to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and related governance processes, including preparation and evaluation of review materials, meeting documentation, and recommendations to ensure compliance with EA standards. Knowledge Transfer: Provide mentoring, documentation, and on-the-job knowledge transfer to government staff to improve internal EA capabilities. Job Description Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related disciplines Minimum of four (4) years of experience with EA modeling tools and repository platforms, including at least two years of experience in Enterprise Architecture for projects similar in size and complexity. Proficiency in importing, exporting, and managing EA data modeling tools (Sparx, ER/Studio, Erwin Data Modeler, etc.), other enterprise management tools, SharePoint, and common desktop tools. Experience with information repository development and management. Understanding of enterprise-level business functions, processes, and solutions in the manufacturing industry. Experience in producing architecture models, diagrams, and visualizations linked to data repositories. Ability to support ARB reviews through creation or presentation-ready artifacts and compliance with EA standards. Applies experience of business modeling techniques (macro and micro level), and impact analysis to help organizations understand and manage their enterprise architecture, analyze their business processes, and propose alternative business solutions for consideration. Personnel shall possess strong communication skills, ability to work with business and IT stakeholders, and knowledge of OMB and Treasury EA guidance.
