Your Key Responsibilities As a Senior Associate with EY-Parthenon's Corporate Finance Business Valuation practice, you will typically work on commercial issues, collaborate with management on parts of the acquisition process, and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities, with a focus on Intangible Assets.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Commercial – regularly advise businesses on valuations issues related to acquisitions or divestitures; provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.

Regulatory and Accounting – work with management to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets impacts accounting requirements.

Taxation – undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise clients on US tax valuation issues.

Intangible Assets – specialize in valuing intangible assets such as trademarks, brand names, core deposit intangibles, customer relationships, banking licenses, patents, technology and know-how.

To qualify for the role, you must have

A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 2 years of related business valuation experience; or a graduate degree with 1-2 years of related experience.

Previous Business Valuation experience.

Financial modeling skills including experience building models from scratch.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and complete challenging projects.

The ability and willingness to travel and work longer hours when necessary.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm.

Financial modeling experience.

A CFA designation in progress or achieved.

ASA/AM designations are a plus with expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe.

Knowledge of leveraging AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

What We Offer You

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranges: US-wide $95,200 to $157,100; NYC Metro/Washington/California ranges higher. Total Rewards include medical and dental, pension and 401(k), and various paid time off options.

Hybrid model: most client-serving roles are in person 40-60% of the time over engagements.
