The Opportunity

EY has an established industry-leading Valuation, Modeling and Economics Practice. We advise clients on strategic planning, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, tax and fair market value documentation needs. Your Key Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Associate with EY-Parthenon\'s Corporate Finance Business Valuation practice you will work on commercial issues, collaborate with management on parts of the acquisition process, and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities, with a focus on intangible assets.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Commercial – advise on valuations for acquisitions or divestitures, provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
  • Regulatory and Accounting – understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets impacts accounting requirements.
  • Taxation – undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise on US tax valuation issues.
  • Intangible Assets – specialize in valuation of intangible assets such as trademarks, brands, customer relationships, licenses, patents, technology, and know-how.

To qualify for the role

  • A bachelor\'s degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 2 years of related business valuation experience; or a graduate degree with 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Previous Business Valuation experience.
  • Financial modeling skills, including building models from scratch.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and track record of completing challenging projects.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work outside standard hours when necessary.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 firms.
  • Financial modeling experience.
  • Progress toward CFA or designation.
  • ASA/AM designations are a plus with progression toward one completed designation.
  • Knowledge of applying AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

What We Offer You

  • Comprehensive compensation and benefits. Base salary ranges: US locations $95,200–$157,100; NYC Metro/Washington/California (excl. Sacramento) $114,200–$178,500. Salaries depend on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Total Rewards include medical/dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off options.
  • Hybrid model with most client-facing roles expected to work in person 40–60% of the time during engagements.
  • Flexible vacation policy and paid holidays, personal/family care leave, and other leaves as needed for well-being.
