Responsibilities
The Finance Applications Data Manager supports the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications.
Leverage deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) with enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, machine learning, and Gen AI to support key finance personas.
Develop and implement the “FDL consulting blueprint” service offering to create an industry-agnostic data model for data consistency and interoperability across finance applications.
Work with the Data Lead and Product Owner for the FDL to ensure data architecture is accurate, consistent, and reliable to enable informed decision-making.
Collaborate with finance, IT, and data science teams to develop and implement the Azure Finance Lakehouse solution offering.

Support Data Management Strategy Execution for finance applications.
Collaborate with cross-service lines to align finance data initiatives.
Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications, considering ML/Gen AI.
Lead design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FDL Blueprint.
Develop and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and data lineage maps.
Lead development and implementation of the FDL Blueprint, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Partner with data scientists and finance subject-matter resources to apply ML and Gen AI techniques to finance applications and expand the FDL.
Support establishment and maintenance of a robust data governance framework for the FDL.
Stay current with advances in ML, Gen AI, data management, and Azure technologies; implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and insights for finance applications.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and approximately three years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately two years of related work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of data management experience, with at least 1 year focused on finance application data, data modeling, and financial modeling.
Strong understanding of data management principles (governance, quality, master data management).
Experience with machine learning techniques, Gen AI technologies, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS SQL, Python).
Knowledge of finance applications including financial modeling (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Proficiency in data integration, transformation, and modeling tools and techniques.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and support adoption of emerging technologies.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field with relevant experience in finance data management including data modeling and ML.

What We Offer You
Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range for all US locations is $112,300 to $185,400; NYC Metro/Washington State/California ranges higher (up to $210,700). Salaries depend on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography; Total Rewards includes medical and dental, pension and 401(k), and PTO options.
Hybrid model: most client-serving roles are expected to be in person 40-60% of the time on engagement.
