Title: Finance Director

Location : San Diego - Hybrid (2 Days Onsite)

Salary: $140-170k + Bonus

Description: Seeking a Finance Director to co-lead divisional financial strategy, reporting, and forecasting. This role partners closely with division leadership to drive financial planning, business plan execution, and ongoing cost analysis. You'll also serve as a key contact for accounting compliance and play an integral role in land development and sales contract operations.

Responsibilities: Lead preparation of annual business plans, quarterly forecasts, and monthly performance reports for the corporate office. Partner with division leadership to identify gaps in execution and proactively course-correct. Develop action plans that align with divisional strategies, coordinating cross-functionally to implement best practices. Analyze and recommend cost-saving and profit-enhancing strategies, ensuring the division meets ROI and cost-per-unit goals. Engage in land acquisition planning, ensuring alignment with growth goals while managing risk. Oversee and analyze land development budgets, working closely with land managers for updates and accuracy. Review and approve recurring payments, check requests, and operational field expenses.

Qualifications: Proven success in finance/accounting roles within the homebuilding or real estate industry. 6+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles. 4+ years of public accounting (CPA) or equivalent experience. Experience in publicly traded organizations with increasing levels of leadership.
