Overview As General Counsel here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will provide strategic legal advice and support to our business on all facets of government contracting (domestic and international), as well as related compliance and regulatory issues. Your expertise in government contracts, contract drafting and negotiation, teaming agreements and licensing, and government contracts compliance will be instrumental to our success. You will report to the Vice President and General Counsel, Defense & Space, and work from Washington, DC or Phoenix, AZ on a hybrid schedule. This role will primarily support Honeywell’s Electronic Defense Systems (EDS) portfolio, with additional assignments across the Honeywell Aerospace Technologies business. You will serve as the general counsel for EDS, managing a team with responsibility for all legal and contractual issues affecting the EDS portfolio. Your contributions will help Honeywell operate ethically, legally, and with integrity as we create innovative solutions that improve lives worldwide.

Responsibilities

Oversee legal operations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks.

Review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

Successfully prevent, manage, and resolve disputes.

Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE

6+ years of experience practicing law.

Strong knowledge of government contracts law and associated regulations.

Expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.

Experience in managing legal risks and compliance matters.

A U.S. Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

WE VALUE

Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

8+ years of experience in a legal role, preferably with a mix of in-house and law firm experience.

Strong leadership and management skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
