Job Description: Join a dynamic and growing team that manages relationships within U.S. Bank's Institutional Client Group. This position specifically focuses on clients and prospects in the Government and Higher Education segment. The Relationship Manager (RM) grows revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Approves loans within assigned limits, manages loan and portfolio credit quality, sources prospects and develops new customer relationships. Provides financial advice to customers and sells appropriate bank products and services to those prospects and clients. Makes appropriate referrals.
Responsibilities Grow revenue as directed by senior management by prospecting for new business and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships within the Government and Higher Education segment.
Approve loans within assigned limits and manage loan and portfolio credit quality.
Source prospects and develop new customer relationships.
Provide financial advice to customers and sell appropriate bank products and services to prospects and clients.
Make appropriate referrals.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically seven to eight or more years of corporate/commercial banking experience
Preferred Skills and Experience Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills
Experience working with government and/or higher education clients
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
Considerable knowledge of credit and credit quality
Thorough knowledge of bank products and services
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Work Schedule The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week. This position also requires two or more hours of driving per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
Pay Range: $124,355.00 - $146,300.00
