Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Insights About the Company We have recently been retained by an acquisition oriented innovative, private equity backed life sciences/services company in a search for a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. The organization is a global leader in delivering innovative and impactful solutions, cutting edge education and meaningful insights across the healthcare industry. Since its founding, the company has been an instrumental part in shaping the future of the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry and serves well established, reputable companies. The company is based in Northern Virginia with a 1-2 day in office requirement. About the Role This position will report to the CFO, work closely with the private equity firm as well as be a business partner with the leadership team. This role will play a critical role in overseeing the FP&A function as well as developing business insights and related KPIs from financial and operational data. This person will assume and lead the development and analysis of business models including but not limited to annual budgets, internal and external financial reporting, and forecasts. This role is responsible for the analysis of departmental results with a comparison to budget forecasts and prior year results. They are looking for someone who can make recommendations and improvements to the company and the finance function, drive change and make a positive impact. Responsibilities Minimum 10 years of FP&A related positions preferably in a small to mid-sized growing company. Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance or related field; MBA is a plus. Demonstrated ability to identify and improve key financial metrics. Strong technical background across the Microsoft suite, NetSuite, Power BI and Salesforce. Self starter who thrives in a remote working environment and can build relationships at all levels of the organization and the private equity sponsor. This role wants to be a member of a take-charge senior management team that is interested in growth and driving change. Strong leadership and communication skills along with the ability/enjoyment to manage multiple priorities. Solid team orientation and work ethic. Career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader.
