PAI is seeking a Head of Partnerships that supports PAI’s mission by building, stewarding, and expanding a values-aligned network of global partners across industry, philanthropy, academia and civil society. Working in close coordination with the Director of Development, this role focuses on keeping existing partners meaningfully engaged, bringing in new collaborators, and designing sponsorship and in-kind opportunities for key initiatives like PAI’s 10-Year Anniversary Gala. The Head of Partnerships also supervises the Partnership Engagement Lead and plays a critical role in shaping PAI’s external presence and partner experience across convenings, forums, working groups, and collaborative projects. WHAT YOU’LL DO Partner Engagement & Stewardship Ensure all partners are meaningfully tied to PAI’s work, including those not on Working Groups or Steering Committees. Conduct assessment/intake processes to understand partner motivations and align them with PAI’s value proposition. Manage onboarding and engagement of new partners in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Build an engagement strategy that connects partners with each other and with mission-aligned programs. Maintain a dashboard in Salesforce (CRM) to track partner touchpoints, sponsorship leads, and retention risks. Collaborate internally with teams including Programs and Research, Policy and International to align partner engagement and stewardship in support of organization-wide priority projects. Sponsorships & Visibility Identify, pitch, and steward sponsors and in-kind contributors for high-profile events. Bring creativity and a quality lens to ensure consistent partner experience across all PAI activations including forums, convening and workshops. Collaborate with the Director of Development on strategic fundraising efforts tied to events and initiatives. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 7–10 years in partnerships, engagement, or fundraising within nonprofits or mission-driven organizations. Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with strategic partners. Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; communications, marketing, or fundraising certifications a plus QUALITIES THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US: Builds Trust: Able to be transparent by being authentic, conveying trust and communicating openly while involving key stakeholders in decision-making.
