Overview Head of Product Marketing at Benchling. We are seeking a strategic leader to define and lead the product marketing vision across Benchling’s R&D Cloud platform, resonating with scientific and technical audiences from researchers to IT leaders. This role focuses on narrative differentiation, positioning, and GTM strategy to accelerate adoption, revenue, and category leadership, including our AI narrative and capabilities. Responsibilities Lead a team of product marketers to define and champion the overall market positioning and narrative for Benchling, establishing the company as a thought leader in the biotech and AI space Build, scale, and develop direct reports and a broader talent pool within the Marketing organization, fostering high performance and continuous learning Collaborate and drive alignment with the C-suite and senior sales and product leadership Lead cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, pre-Sales, Sales, and post-Sales to create alignment and clarity on GTM launch strategy and segment/solution objectives Oversee customer requirements and provide input to product management on product needs and product roadmap decisions to align with market opportunities and customer needs Establish an efficient cross-functional working model across GTM teams and develop annual/quarterly plans to measure performance within segments and solutions Develop and execute strategies to drive new market penetration and adoption of new products, with measurable impact on top line Conduct and synthesize internal and external research around customer segments, market trends, and use cases Lead the creation of crisp, compelling messaging and content assets for customers and prospects Provide executive updates on performance of product areas, including net new growth and expansion by segment or solution Be a connector across GTM teams and product, advocating for customers and ensuring the market understands Benchling’s strengths Qualifications BA or equivalent undergraduate degree; MBA is a plus 10+ years in product marketing or marketing leadership roles with at least 6-7 years building and scaling high-performing teams in high-growth B2B SaaS A visionary leader capable of elevating company positioning to inspire action across field, prospects, and customers Proven track record of executive-level partnership, credibility with senior leaders, and influencing C-suite decisions Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear presentations for C-level executives Experience bringing products to market and scaling GTM across multiple product lines with accountability for pipeline and revenue Collaborative, adaptable communication style suitable for multi-cultural teams Self-starter who navigates a complex organization to drive projects from idea to execution Highly organized, energetic leader with a passion for developing people Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights Deep curiosity for life sciences and biotech; experience with emerging data technologies for life sciences is a plus Ability to operate in a fast-moving, fast-growing environment How We Work We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes in-office collaboration. Employees are expected to be on-site 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Compensation and Benefits Salary range for this role: base salary $208,000 to $312,000.
