Position Summary: Responsible for the creative and technical aspects of healthcare/wellness projects, including planning, design development, presentation materials, construction documents, and construction administration services. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of architectural practices with a specialization in healthcare/wellness sectors.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Work independently, exercising discretion and judgment, while collaborating with firm leadership to produce cohesive work products.
Lead and coordinate team members (internal and external) across all project phases.
Manage multiple projects at various stages, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Collaborate with project teams to staff projects appropriately throughout the project lifecycle, including design, documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction support.
Coordinate with the Lead Project Manager on project scope, schedule, staffing, and budget.
Present project progress to clients at scheduled milestones for review and approval.
Oversee activities related to studies, reports, designs, visualizations, models, drawings, and specifications.
Supervise support activities during permitting, bidding, and construction phases.

Minimum Qualifications and Characteristics
California licensure preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years’ Project Architect experience in healthcare construction within California.
Knowledge of healthcare design requirements, medical equipment, and industry practices specific to California’s healthcare sector.
LEED or WELL accreditation is a plus.
Familiarity with HCAI regulations, codes, and processes (OSHPD-1 & OSHPD-3).
Proficiency in REVIT and BIM fundamentals is highly desired.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field; first professional degree preferred.
Experience managing projects from design through construction on medium to large projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to handle inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and community members effectively.
Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and coordinate with consultants.
Initiative, responsibility, flexibility, leadership, and team-building skills.
Salary DOE: $90k-135k
