Ripple Effect is looking for a Human Subjects Research, Research Analyst with regulatory and oversight experience in biomedical human subjects research to support the client’s compliance assurance program at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role you will provide high-level research administration support to report human subjects research recommendations to executive management. You will work with senior scientists as part of a Human Research Protection Group (HRPG) team.

Salary Range: $82,858.00 - $84,500.00 per year
Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive reviews and evaluations of various human subjects research protocol submissions, including amendments/addenda, continuing review reports, protocol continuations under new awards, and final study reports.
Provide real-time assistance to the development and review of DHS-supported research protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Federal, DHS, state, local, and other human subjects protection regulations and guidelines.
Provide regulatory-based written reviews using standardized checklists, identifying deficiencies and areas of noncompliance in protocol submissions.
Support DHS HRPG Lead Analyst and relevant federal staff analyze complex problems regarding regulatory and ethical issues and provide administrative support for reporting recommendations to executive management.
Actively manage and update protocol files and information management systems related to protocol review.
Minimum Education and Experience MA/MS in a life science, biomedical, or related field
4 years of relevant professional experience
Basic Requirements Experience applying laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines governing human subjects research and cadaver use in research involving human subjects.
Experience in making regulatory review recommendations to address deficiencies or noncompliance in human research conduct with prior professional experience relating to quality control and/or quality assurance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well with various individuals and collaborate across teams in a dynamic and diverse research enterprise.
Ability to prioritize among multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, relying on own resources and initiative.
Strong skills in using MS Office software and shared workspaces such as SharePoint and OneDrive
Must work effectively in a team environment.

Skills That Set You Apart Relevant certifications, e.g., CIP, SOCRA, etc.
CITI training in accordance with local IRB policy
Experience in either serving on or the administration of an IRB
Experience as a government contractor, supporting biomedical or health research programs within DHS or other federal systems.
Ability to travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally.
