Job Title: Hybrid Remote -SSI Advocate

Location: Milwaukee, WI ( Must live in Milwaukee or within 20 miles of Madison, WI location )

Start Date: October 13th, 2025

Pay: $16.28/hour | Weekly Pay

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Role Overview As an SSI Advocate , you will support children in the foster care system by identifying those who may qualify for Social Security benefits. You will work closely with case managers to prepare, file, and track applications for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

Key Responsibilities

Review cases and determine eligibility under SSA guidelines

Prepare and submit SSI applications and supporting documents

File online applications and track progress with SSA

Complete Continuing Reviews (CDRs) on time

Assist with first-level appeals for denied applications

Maintain case files for all referred and approved children

Communicate with federal, state, and county agencies via phone and email

Prepare weekly and monthly reports

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

High Speed Internet Access/ 100mps Download/ 10mps Upload (Must be able to hardwire in via ethernet cord)

Previous experience in social services, case management, or administrative support is a plus

Knowledge of Social Security Administration (SSA) guidelines is helpful but not required (training provided)

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
