Knowledge Management Lawyer (US Antitrust & Competition) for Latham & Watkins. The role focuses on thought leadership for the US Antitrust & Competition Practice, monitoring current legal and regulatory developments, and informing attorneys and clients through emails, bulletins, and tailored materials. It also covers the creation and maintenance of knowledge assets, client-facing materials, and internal resources to help attorneys work efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Monitor current legal, regulatory and market practice developments for the Practice
- Prepare communications and tailored thought leadership materials for attorneys and clients (client alerts, blog posts, newsletters, client presentations, pitches)
- Identify, collect, and organize work product for the Practice in the relevant knowledge management database
- Draft and maintain frequently used client-facing materials (e.g., information exchange guidelines, document creation guidelines, antitrust training materials)
- Draft and maintain internal "best-of" resources (e.g., antitrust effort clauses, case trackers)
- Provide substantive training to attorneys on competition law matters and on the use of forms, precedent materials, KM database, and other KM resources
- Act as a resource for technical legal queries related to competition law and support preparation for client or industry engagements
- Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information
Qualifications
- Extensive substantive knowledge of antitrust and competition law (substantive and procedural)
- Ability to work independently and deliver on a timely basis
- Well-developed professional interpersonal skills to interact effectively across the firm
- A JD, or its equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer in a leading international law firm focused on antitrust and competition law
Location & Work Arrangements
Role located in New York, San Francisco, or Washington, D.C. office. Role may be eligible for a flexible schedule with hybrid and in-office presence.
Pay Range
USD $250,000.00 - USD $280,000.00 /Yr.
