Job Category: Underwriting Company: Everest Insurance Company Type: Regular • Time Type: Full time • Primary Location: Atlanta, GA Responsibilities Utilizing authority to underwrite and price business for the following lines of coverage within the Life Science Industry segment, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Auto liability, Excess / Umbrella while adhering to divisional underwriting guidelines. Collaborating with home office, marketing & distribution, actuary, claims, loss control, premium audit, and legal to develop and maintain a profitable portfolio of Casualty insurance placements within the life science industry. Establishing and maintaining broker relationships with a concentration on life sciences. Assisting in development and execution of business strategy to drive submission flow and binding of profitable business. Assisting in the continued development of the Life Science portfolio. Qualifications College degree preferred, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience underwriting Casualty insurance with a focus in the Life Science industry. Experience with a broad array of risk management program structures—from guaranteed cost to large deductibles—with a drive to learn additional financing and program structures. Experience in umbrella and excess casualty is required. Existing relationships with brokers handling Life Science business and/or direct client relationships strongly preferred. Possess strong presentation, communication, and business development skills. Salary : The base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $203,500 annually. Compensation offers are based on education, experience, qualifications and work location.
