OverviewMachine Learning Engineer-Secret ClearanceLocation: Washington, DC (Hybrid, SCIF access required)Clearance: Active and/or transferable U.S. Government security clearance required (Secret; TS/SCI preferred)Salary: $150,000 - $215,000 per year plus equity optionsWhat You’ll DoSpearhead platform upgrades to keep solutions at the forefront of innovation.Build and manage dynamic dashboards using Python SDKs to deliver intuitive, actionable insights.Optimize data access patterns to ensure system efficiency and performance.Troubleshoot and resolve runtime performance issues for responsive, stable applications.Architect robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications with an eye toward growth.Collaborate with product managers and technical stakeholders to deliver usability enhancements.What You Won’t DoBe siloed into one area—this role requires versatility across ML, data, and software engineering.Focus solely on research without implementation—this is a hands-on engineering role.QualificationsActive and/or transferable U.S. Government DOD security clearance (minimum Secret; TS/SCI preferred).Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Master’s Degree preferred).4+ years of experience in ML engineering, data engineering, or software development.4+ years in Python-based data engineering stack (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Plotly, etc.).Experience with production deployment of ML solutions (preferably in secure or classified environments).Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in mission-driven projects.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.Proven track record of deploying software into production environments.Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership.Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Preferred SkillsEnd-to-end experience in Machine Learning Engineering, from model development to deployment.Experience with Predictive Maintenance, data sources relevant to US Air Force systems, supply chain, and scheduling optimization.Experience with Cyber Analytics, network monitoring, CVEs and cyber vulnerabilities.Experience with task schedulers (e.g., Celery, Airflow, Prefect) and web-app stacks (Flask/Django) or app builders like Streamlit/Plotly Dash.40-hour work week with flexible start/end times (core hours 10am–4pm).Hybrid schedule in the DMV area with SCIFs as required; weekly SCIF visits may be expected.Occasional travel to customer sites outside the area (approximately quarterly, semi-annually, or yearly).Open to travel to headquarters in Pasadena, CA, or other U.S. customer sites.Growth opportunities into senior engineering or technical leadership roles.Compensation and BenefitsSalary: $150K - $215K plus equity (5,000 shares).Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.Unlimited paid time off.Full-time role.Visa sponsorship not available. #J-18808-Ljbffr
