Your role
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a full-stack, mobile-focused team dedicated to assisting ClassPass in expanding into new geographical areas and verticals. You thrive in an experiment-driven and data-oriented environment while guiding your team toward a long-term technical vision. You enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and leverage your technical expertise to help the team select sustainable solutions. You understand that the best software is produced through collaboration and iteration, and you are seeking the right opportunity and team to further your experience.
You'll likely spend time working on:
Empowering your engineering team to deliver high levels of technical quality and business impact.
Recruiting a diverse team of engineers recognized as some of the best in the industry, from outreach to closing.
Managing a team of engineers and facilitating their career development through challenging responsibilities and constructive feedback.
Actively participating in strategic direction and product decisions for your team.
Contributing to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of ClassPass' engineering management team.
About the right team member: You are an experienced engineer who has successfully transitioned into a people leader, passionate about creating impactful and high-quality mobile applications. You possess extensive experience in at least one aspect of developing a world-class mobile application and can effectively manage a high-performing team throughout the entire process. You'll thrive in this role with experience in:
3+ years of direct management experience with a full-stack engineering team of at least 6 members.
Experience in delivering high-quality websites or mobile applications.
Established architecture and best practices for web or mobile applications and their backends.
Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, and execute effectively.
Technologies you'll be working with:
Kotlin/Java microservices
AWS (ECS, RDS, OpenSearch, and more)
Modern mobile app development (Swift/SwiftUI, Android/Jetpack Compose)
