Job Summary The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation therapy treatment team who is familiar with the physical and geometrical characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, and has the training and expertise necessary to measure and calculate radiation doses under the direction of the Therapeutic Radiological Physicist and the Radiation Oncologist.

Locations: Nashville, Spring Hill, Clarksville, Franklin, Lebanon
Schedule: Hybrid (1 week onsite / 3 weeks remote)
Training: 3 months of onsite training to ensure full support and integration.

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Radiation Oncology team and support five clinic locations across Middle Tennessee: Nashville, Spring Hill, Clarksville, Franklin, and Lebanon.
Position Overview As a Medical Dosimetrist, you will play a vital role in our radiation therapy treatment team. You will work under the direction of the Therapeutic Radiological Physicist and Radiation Oncologist to measure and calculate precise radiation doses, ensuring safe and effective Photon therapy treatment plans for our patients.
The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation therapy treatment team who is familiar with the physical and geometrical characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, and has the training and expertise necessary to measure and calculate radiation doses under the direction of the Therapeutic Radiological Physicist and the Radiation Oncologist.
This position will cover all five radiation oncology clinics (Nashville, Spring Hill, Clarksville, Franklin, and Lebanon).
This hybrid remote position has a consistent rotation of 1 week onsite followed by 3 weeks remote. Please note, this position requires 3 months of on-site training.

Maintain accurate documentation and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications
Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) preferred.
Experience with treatment planning systems and radiation oncology equipment preferred.

Work Experience: Relevant work experience.
Experience Level: Less than 1 year.
